Dani received her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology from Concordia University in Edmonton and her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Dani has a passion for animals and for helping people. Her therapeutic approaches include cognitive-behavioural, person-centered, solution-focused, animal-assisted and equine-facilitated therapies. She specializes in work with children, youth and families, providing behaviour management and intervention strategies to parents and caregivers. She has worked closely with people of all ages and backgrounds since 2007 and specializes in working with those who experience challenging behaviors, brain impairment, multiple diagnoses, emotional disruptions, boundary disturbances or traumatic backgrounds.
She chose to work for Ability4Good because she believes in the approach of helping families and appreciates the emphasis on “ability” rather than “disability”.
Aside from working with and helping people, Dani also volunteers with Barrhead Animal Rescue Society, assisting in rescuing and fostering animals in need. She is also an artist, actor and director.
