Dani Neufeld, M.A.
Registered Provisional Psychologist
Dani holds her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology from Concordia University of Edmonton. Dani has worked with children, youth and families in a variety of capacities since 2008. Dani previously worked at Dreamcatcher Nature Assisted Therapy where she trained in and practiced Animal Assisted Therapy and Equine Facilitated Counselling. Dani has experience working with children, youth and families from diverse populations and histories. She is skilled in working with complex cases and multiple diagnoses including: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Down syndrome, Tourette’s syndrome, Anxiety and Mood Disorders, FASD, trauma, self-harm, challenging behaviours, brain injury and emotional disturbances. Dani works from a client-centred, play-based, cognitive behavioral approach to support children and families in achieving their goals and reaching their potential. Dani believes in the approach of helping people from the perspective of emphasizing “ability” rather than “disability”.
At Ability4Good Dani provides individual and family counselling services as well as behavior management consultation.
Dani enjoys spending time with her growing family and working with her animals. She also has skills and talents in the fine arts and enjoys the great outdoors.
