Frances Sharon, MScOT (C)
Frances obtained her degree in Biological Sciences Technology and subsequently obtained a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the U of A. She has been an Occupational Therapist for over 22 years, working in a variety of areas including acute care, mental health and home health. For the last 14 years she has worked in Pediatrics in the school system and has most recently joined the team at Ability4Good part-time.
Frances finds great satisfaction in seeing the connection between how clients function in their daily tasks as students with how they perform their other responsibilities required in the home such as playing and self-care activities, etc. By working with parents and children in the home on goals that are parent-driven, Frances finds the holistic approach ensures the child continues to develop and be successful.Frances is most fulfilled when a child achieves a goal or milestone that may have previously been thought to be impossible. Frances is passionate about continually finding new ways to provide interventions to help children and parents.
She enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, kayaking as well as reading and socializing with family and friends.
