Join us for our new social skill development group!
This group is meant for children to learn and practice important
social skills that will help them to understand and relate to other
kids their own age.
Children will participate in a fun group situation, where they will learn new social
concepts each week. They will have opportunities to practice using the concepts
with other kids. Groups will involve focused group time, craft making, play and
game activities that all relate to the theme of the week. Extension activities will
be provided for caregivers to practice at home with the children in between group
Groups will be run by Clinical Team members (e.g., Speech Language Pathologist,
Occupational Therapist, Behaviour Consultant, Early Intervention Specialist), and
feature an adult to child ratio of 1:4.
Who is this program for?
This program is meant for children who are in Grade 1 through 6, who have
social communication difficulties (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD,
Developmental Delays). To benefit from this program children should:
