Sherry Hiebert-Keck, MSW, RSW has been the Clinical Director with Ability4Good since the start of 2019. She has worked in the non-profit sector for over 30 years. Her previous position was The Managing Director of the Louise Dean Centre in 2016, following eight years as the Managing Director of Community Services with Catholic Family Service. Previous work experience includes Lead Associate for children 0-6 years with the Calgary Children’s Initiative of United Way of Calgary and Area. Prior to that, she worked within the Community Resource Centre sector for eight years developing and strengthening two NE Community Resource Centres, a Heart of the NE Community Coordinating Council, and the Hand in Hand Parent Link Centre. Being embraced by NE residents to develop and nurture vital centres of connection and leaving a lasting legacy of accessible, sustainable services is one of her most heartfelt accomplishments.
Sherry is passionate about place-based community work that strengthens natural supports for families and decreases barriers for full participation. She has experience in leading and facilitating cross-sectoral initiatives that strengthen collaboration throughout the non-profit sector. Her leadership in promoting excellence in service delivery through human resource management, strategic planning, program design, as well as her clinical focus on mental health and cultural humility and reconciliation efforts have been recognized as instrumental in promoting a sense of purpose and belonging for clients, staff, students and volunteers.
